This larger-than-life, exceptionally rare pendant was handmade by Navajo Tsosie White to exemplify a clean and captivating repoussé design. Repoussé is a metalworking technique in which metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. Tsosie created this piece with sterling silver and a gorgeous, gem grade (highest grade) Morenci turquoise stone.

Morenci turquoise is a highly regarded and sought-after stone whose mine is located in Southeastern Arizona. Though the Morenci turquoise mine produces a wide range of colors from blue to green, the most desirable is a vibrant blue color with a heavy iron pyrite matrix, as seen in this pendant. Because of its unique coloring and that no turquoise is actively being produced at the Morenci mine, its collectibility is exceptionally high.

Finished with a hand-cut perimeter, detailed bale, and twistwire around its stone for added interest.

  • Measures 2 3/4" long not including bale (3 5/8" long including bale) by 2 1/2" wide at the largest points.
  • Bale fits up to 16mm Navajo Pearls (not included)
  • Model is wearing this necklace with an 18" 5mm triple strand Navajo pearl necklace, available separately.
  • Weighs 48.1 grams.
