This larger-than-life, exceptional pendant was handmade by Navajo Tsosie White to exemplify a clean and captivating repoussé design. Repoussé is a metalworking technique in which metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. Tsosie created this piece with sterling silver and a gorgeous, gem grade (highest grade) Red Mountain spiderweb turquoise stone.

The Red Mountain mine is located in Lander County, Nevada and produces a variety of distinguishable traits, the more rare being the gem grade specimins, namely with deep blue coloring and dark webbing. The cabochon in this pendant is of an exceptionally rare variety with its tight black webbing and high grade.

Finished with a hand-cut perimeter, detailed bale, and twistwire around its stone for added interest.

  • Measures 2 3/4" long not including bale (3 3/4" long including bale) by 2 1/2" wide at the largest points.
  • Bale fits up to 16mm Navajo Pearls (not included)
  • Model is wearing this necklace with an 18" 5mm triple strand Navajo pearl necklace, available separately.
  • Weighs 49.5 grams.
